Commissioner's Message

Customs Bond Commissionerate, Chattogram is the Second Bond Commissionerate in Bangladesh. It starts its journey as Commissionerate from August, 2011. Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh has been given Bonded warehousing benefit for wide range of industries to stimulate export growth. The items like Garment clothing, Garments accessories, Leather goods, Raw materials of footwear, Chemicals, diplomatic and duty free shops, ship stores are entitled to get the benefit of bonded warehouse. The administrative area of Chattogram Bond Commissionerate is the Bonded Facilities of administrative area of Chattogram Division and four EPZ: CEPZ, KEPZ, Korean EPZ and Cumilla EPZ. About one hundred manpower are working in the Bond Comissionerate, Chattogram. The main function of Bond Commissionerate of Chattogram are to issue and manage the bonded warehouse business, to facilitate the export-oriented industries, to ensure proper collection of revenue and to control misuse of bond facilities through risk management.

Above all, Bond Commissionerate, Chattogram are working hard to protect the misuse of Bonded warehouse facilities and to expand the export, trade and to accelerate foreign direct investment which is helpful to bring foreign currency as well as to create huge job opportunities.
